Once you start out with this hobby you'll want to improve your images quickly - by aquiring new gear. Unfortunately this
'new gear fever' has gotten the better of me in the beginning, too. Now at the moment I'm not too keen on getting something the time it is freshly released.
Nevertheless over time I've gotten quite a little collection of equipment that's quite versatile.
Let's start with the most important part, the optics themselves (aka the telescope/lens). I have started out with a Newtonian/Reflector scope, but this is not the easiest type
and I would not recommend it to a complete beginner.
My current optics are as follows.
- TS Optics Newtonian 6"/570-600 mm TS ONTC 6" F4
- William Optics Apochromatic 71/350-420 mm Gran Turismo 71
- TS Optics Apochromatic 102/714 mm 102/714 ED OTA
- Samyang Lens 135 mm 135 F2 Manual
- Samyang Lens AF2 50 mm
- Sigma Lens 20 mm DG DN Art
- Sony Lens 24-240 mm SEL
- Artesky Refractor 60/240 mm Guide Scope
- William Optics Refractor 30/102 mm Uniguide
- Omegon Velox 224 c color (CMOS)
- Sony Alpha 7 iii (astromodified, more sensitive to h-alpha)
- Sony Alpha 7 iv
- TS Optics (Teleskop Service) TS2600CP (CMOS)
- ZWO ASI 178 MM
- ZWO ASI 183 MC Pro (CMOS)
- Omegon LX4
- Celestron Advanced VX (AVX) - owned previously (sold)
- Move Shoot Move Nomad
- Skywatcher NEQ-3
- iOptron CEM70
- iOptron HAE29
